SORA AL ROWAS MD, MSC

Dr. Sora Al Rowas brings her global experience to the region. After completing her Master’s in research from McGill, she completed her board certification in internal medicine in the United States.
During her time as an Assistant Professor at Tufts University where she was also the director of evidence-based medicine, she received a diploma from Stanford in Faculty Development.
She came back home to the Gulf where she worked in the UAE and Oman. She served as head of risk management and then head of acute medicine during her time at Royal Hospital.
An award winner for compassionate care, Dr. Sora has extensive experience in medical education, running clinical teams, community outreach experience and holistic practices that promote well-being.
She approaches problem solving in a grounded and scientific manner and believes in working with stakeholders’ value systems to achieve desired results. Dr. Sora has collaborated on several international philanthropic projects and is currently an affiliate of the Lebanese mutual aid organization “People’s Solidarity”. She is a strong advocate for social corporate responsibility and is open to being approached for local or regional philanthropic collaborations.
It is her keen eye for problem-solving and understanding of healthcare systems that attracted her to the consulting field. Her vision that process optimization, service expansion, and quality assurance in organizational settings, especially in healthcare, cannot be resolved in silos, prompted her to establish Al Sorat Consulting Services LLC, along with Dr. Meda. They hope that together, with a growing network of like-minded affiliates, they can collaborate to bring effective change in a way that promotes excellence in healthcare, and in other critical fields, for all.

MEDA AL ROWAS, PHD

Dr. Meda Al Rowas brings over a decade of research and experience in benchmarking, leadership and management, and optimization of institutional knowledge and workflows in complex organizational settings. After receiving her PhD from the University of Sheffield’s Economics and Management School, she worked at IHS Markit’s headquarters in the City of London (now S&P Global).
She worked extensively with major multinational clients across industries, including global insurers, Oil and Gas majors, multinational banks, financial institutions, and governments around the world, and rapidly climbed the corporate ladder.
Starting as a senior forecaster she was quickly called upon to lead and then formally head the Middle East and North Africa Division for Country Risk Analysis & Forecasting. She was then promoted to Director of Global Intelligence, Analysis and Audit, joining the global team overseeing the entire service.
Throughout, she was actively engaged in evolving the methodology and information architecture supporting the service’s delivery of open-source intelligence and published data-driven research, analysis and risk scoring.
She is passionate about the digital transformation of workflows and the effective utilization of automation technologies to ensure that people can unlock their full potential across job roles in an organizational setting.
